Weekly Robotics Camps
American Robotics Academy aims to excite, inspire and motivate children about the importance of robotics technology. Our hands-on classes offer an introduction to the fundamentals of engineering design, helping children understand Òhow things work.Ó Held in a friendly, sports-like atmosphere, students work in age-appropriate teams and learn how to design, build and test remote-controlled miniature robots. We use simple, motorized machines Ð all made from LEGO¨ bricks! Ð to demonstrate mechanical movements and effects.

Austin Zoo Summer Camp gets your child excited about nature and science through using Austin Zoo as an Outdoors living classroom. It is an opportunity for your child to take risks, try new activities and make new friends who have an interest in science. The official camp day will begin at 9 AM and run until 4 PM Monday through Friday. There will be two topics each for 5-7 year olds, 8-10 year olds and 11-13 year olds. On the last week of summer we will offer one full-day camp Monday Ð Friday for 6-10 year olds called Zoolympics! Camps are $250/week for Zoo members or $275/week for non-members.
Camps will be taught by experienced instructors and well-trained counselors. Your child will participate in many activities including investigating science through fun experiments, fostering their creativity through science-related arts and crafts and learning about animals and environmental science through up close encounters. Mad Science camps are designed with exciting, fun and hands-on science activities. Your child will become a junior scientist for the week. We use an inquiry-based technique that allows even the youngest camper to enjoy learning. TechLab Day Camp provides the type of engagement, excitement, and hands-on activities required for successful early STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) education. Camp attendees will use tools like DSLR cameras, laser cutter/engravers, 3D printers, robotics kits, hydrology display boards, Adobe Creative Suite and Labview software to explore, design and create. This year's theme is "Caves".
