Summer Spark day camps are designed to shift your child’s mindset to embrace problem solving and failure. At Summer Spark, your children come alive as they engage in weekly creative problem solving challenges. With packed schedules, powerful media everywhere, and performance pressure in school, a fundamental component of a strong foundation is missing in the lives of many children today. There just isn’t time anymore for children to experiment, to tinker, to fail, to try again. Summer Spark creates this time. We present children with engaging problems, but no set solutions. We guide them in working with peers and seeking inspiration from what they see around them. We offer them encouragement and stimulate their imaginations with questions instead of answers. We provide simple materials and recycled trash so that the focus is on what they are able to create with their own hands. Through these experiences, children have the opportunity to develop confidence, collaborate authentically with peers, and work through success and failure. We offer 10 different week-long programs designed specifically for elementary-age children.
Camp time: 8:00am-3:30pm (flexible drop off, and extended hours available until 6pm)
